I started working with Orbaid when it was an early startup in an accelerator. By then, we only had a wireframe MVP in Balsamiq. Although I understood that the product was offering sustainability recommendations to corporates, I had limited knowledge about the industry and the general context. So, when I was given the job to redesign and refine the product's design, I began my discovery journey.

We should target not only sustainable department but all employees to better implement sustainable initiatives
Sustainability efforts and resource use differ by industry, heavily influenced by top management and those directly involved in sustainability. Also, a person's background and role impact their understanding of sustainability. So, boosting awareness among all front-line employees is key to putting plans into action.

As mentioned above, we were handed a wireframe MVP as the foundation for our redesign. Since it was originally built in Balsamiq, which is not the ideal workspace for collaboration and high-fidelity design, we reorganized the file and moved it to Figma. Meanwhile, we built an interaction map for us to better understand the current infrastructure.

In the first step, we discovered that although the current design includes most features, such as a dashboard and tracker, which allow company managers to see data and its impact, it falls short in supporting collaborative work and employee participation. Additionally, the information architecture requires further enhancement.

We utilized our founder's existing connections and email list to carry out the user testing. I oversaw the testing process and crafted the email to improve the download conversion rate. We received over 50 responses, which later shed light on the design of our alpha version.
